Jeremy, the keyword works here extremely fine for me and most users, so it should be a problem at your end. What browser are you using? Fetofs Hello! 12:20, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.3 on Windows XP. The problem also occurs on IE7B2. Also it occurs when I am not logged in. — Jeremy | Talk 00:40, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmmm...I'm also occasionally getting things like "This is a [[Help:Minor edit|minor edit]]" in the edit forms. — Jeremy | Talk 05:00, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Ah, figured out the problem. It's because I'm using the https://secure.wikimedia.org interface to Wikipedia. I'd been getting funny behaviour with this interface before, particularly on the Main Page and talk pages. Guess I should have checked to see if the NEWSECTIONLINK worked without the SSL interface before removing it. — Jeremy | Talk 06:46, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Google removal

Hello! What have you exactly tried to do with this edit? It seems that you deleted big part of the article. SyP 11:26, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

I added back the large chunk you (accidentally?) deleted. --mtz206 13:43, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Ooops! Sorry! I selected the bit I wanted to change, pasted it into Notepad, ran a Search and Replace on it, went back to the article, pressed CTRL-A and CTRL-V. I must have forgot I wasn't section editing! — Jeremy | Talk 00:38, 18 May 2006 (UTC)

Anime and manga portal

While your intentions may have been good, your move has broken the Anime and manga portal. Because of this, I've requested at Wikipedia:Requested moves for the move to be reverted immediately. --TheFarix (Talk) 03:46, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

My edits on Image:Microsoft_Word_2003.png

Hi,

I noticed that you posted this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Davidone&redirect=no#Your_edits_on_Image:Microsoft_Word_2003.png

Thanks for telling me that! It was one month ago when I did that and I was experimenting with it and reverted it back to normal anyway. It's not as if I kept doing it! --David 14:39, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

No problem whatsoever :) --David 17:12, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

My Flickr Gamma Template

Hi, you removed my flickr Gamma template in the article Flickr. Though I agree with you that Flickr is going to stay in Gamma, I also think that you should think of it like products such as Gmail. Gmail is probably going to always stay in Beta, and has a beta template. I'm going to restore the template, and hope that if you have any issues that you discuss it on the articles talk page, rather than just removing it. Thanks --Alexbrewer 06:54, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Blog

You asked How did you find my Wikibirthday post on my blog? Do you subscribe to my feed or something? It would explain the lone subscriber! - I got there from your user page and noticed the heading - I don't subscribe and hadn't read it before. I saw your recent edits to Berrima today :-). Regards--A Y Arktos\talk 02:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Jeremy!
Thanks for that! I'll get onto it! --Fir0002 10:33, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

VMWare

Hey :) hope things are well with you. Thanks for the message about VMWare.... I did some looking around and it looks like the whole thing is more or less a copyvio. This page and this one, for example, contain the exact same bullet-point list as under the ESX Server section. Some other text looks like a lift from this brochure. The whole thing does read like pre-approved copy.

.... okay, so I wrote that paragraph, got a bit suspicious, and ran an ARIN WhoIs on the IP address that made those contribution. Guess who? I've reverted the whole contribution. There is some good and useful information about their latest set of products in there, which could serve as a basis for more WP-suitable expansion... I haven't used their products in a couple of years, so I'm definitely not the guy to do it. Perhaps you could give it some of your magic touch? -/- Warren 05:02, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

Watch out for this vandal!

Hi. Vandal 89.100.225.141 vandalized my talk page and signed with your exact signature. I suggest that you closely monitor this IP. Best regards. Húsönd 00:00, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the tip, but I don't even know what a watchlist is =) - Janipewter 13:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

New Coke

Could you explain on the talk page what, specifically, needs to be cleaned up IYO? Daniel Case 13:26, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

  • Hmm, that wasn't the article I remember tagging, but the history seems to prove it. Never mind, I did leave a message on the talk page but it was a pretty good article. — JeremyTalk 01:47, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Thank you

Hi Jeremy :-)
"rm comma from 6000. Completely unnecessary."
Ah well, I like my commas, but you are right (there's no fixed rule in the Wiki Style Guide for numbers). So I won't change it back. Nice to meet you. Roaming27 08:17, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism

Jeremy, can you tell me if you know who's been vandalising the articles on this site? How long's this been going on for?

NatalieZ 02:24, 31 October 2006 (UTC)

thanks

hi. thanks for the links to the help and i am here to stay. =) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Falcon866 (talkcontribs) 13:12, November 2, 2006.

Minesweeper

Hi, you reverted my additions for minesweeper. You should know that Yandman and I came to an agreement (look on his talk page) about the content I had added, and I think what I added was good material. I'm not going to edit this again for fear of another revert. Please respond. SchuBomb 03:29, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for re-reverting, I was a little annoyed when it seemed everything I wrote got reverted, but so long as everyone's reasonable about it like you and Yandman (and especially since you're a fellow aussie :D), everything's great. By the way, I don't know how interested you are in minesweeper, but some of us aussie players are organising a Sydney meeting (including the legendary Dion Tiu!) for January. Let me know if you're interested. SchuBomb 08:43, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

PS portal move

Next time when you move a portal, please remember to move ALL of its components, currently there are 3 red links on the page and I'm trying to fix it.. Effer 21:40, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Heh, I was just checking this page (unfortunately, it doesn't see much use), and saw this edit. Touché! ;) Luna Santin 11:13, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your input. Great idea; my only problem is that wikilinks aren't actually possible via e-mail; they're not supported by the Wikipedia e-mail system (I think due to spam worries). Ral315 (talk) 02:58, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Microsoft Word 2007 Beta2.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:Microsoft Word 2007 Beta2.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Children's Machine

I noticed you made a move request, but you did not complete it. Take a look at WP:RM for what you are supposed to do after you list it there. TJ Spyke 23:58, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Archive icon

Hi. I noticed you recently changed (or reverted a change to) the icon at {{Archive box}}. I have started a discussion in order to reach a consensus on which icon should be used for archive-related templates. --Random832(tc) 21:36, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

Shadow

How did you make the shadow on this image? GIMP? Thanks in advance. --Ysangkok 16:49, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Oh, it was easy. :) I did indeed use The GIMP, and I simply used the drop-shadow effect in the Script-Fu menu. I think that's all you do — although I haven't done it in a while, so there may be one or two minor steps in between. Anyway, it's really easy. You should try it some day. — JeremyTalk 04:50, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your response. I'll try :P. --Ysangkok 09:15, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Chevalierlogo.gif

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Chevalierlogo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Garrie 04:57, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Added, though it was really User:Jpeob's responsibility to do it when he uploaded it. Jeremy.Visser 05:23, 27 June 2007 (UTC)
