Age of Ultron discussion

Hi. I was wondering if you would like to join the discussion about tie-ins at this link since Friginator removed the tie-ins even though most of the past Marvel Comics storylines have them. Rtkat3 (talk) 7:10, April 8 2013 (UTC)

Marvel Comics Prison deletion discussion

I am inviting you to take part in a deletion discussion revolving around some of the Marvel Comics prisons taking place here, here, and here so that you can list your say in this. Rtkat3 (talk) 1:46, October 24 2013 (UTC)

If you want a good view of what's been going on over the past two months, take a look here: [1] BOZ (talk) 03:48, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Looks about normal - TTN has fit an odd swack of elements in works of fiction on notability/plot grounds. If the 3 Rtkat3 pointed to are representative, TTN has a good point. And this is something that repeatedly comes up - just because something is show/mentioned in a comic, show, toy line, game, etc, it doesn't need a Wikipedia article. Especially if there is a decent Wikia that readers can be pointed to. - J Greb (talk) 22:19, 25 October 2013 (UTC)
Savage Land and possibly Atlantis are surely more notable than most of the rest. BOZ (talk) 13:46, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
Possibly... And TTN has withdrawn the Savage Land AFD. The problem though is that both Savage Land and Atlantis (Marvel Comics) are written in an in-story tone with zero attempt to provide real world context or show real world notability. In the MU, yup, they're notable. So are the prisons mentioned above. But the articles on Wikipedia need to be built from secondary, third party sources, not exclusively from the comics and Marvel's marketing.
As it stands right now:
  1. The "main versions" sections of these articles can be knocked down to a few lines, maybe a paragraph.
  2. The "alternate version" sections can be taken fon to a bullet list, if that.
  3. The IOM sections can be taken to the same or a simple in line list of the shows, films, games, etc where the locations have been prominently featured.
The in-story history really is something that we should be pointing readers to the Marvel Database for.
And that is without getting into the problems of keeping the pages just to have a place to list the IOM stuff and, worse, the character that live/come form/have been to the places.
