I've been in touch with Alison as you suggested, but haven't yet received a reply. Meanwhile Vintagekits has vandalised my talk page by writing some semi-literate heading and putting a green wiki-project sticker underneath it. How do I remove this please? I just wanted to add the rticle of Noserubbing, it is a very short of simple concept of which there is no real way of padding it out as just a few lines would explain it.

Please stop yourself. This page is CLEARLY WITHIN ALL wikipedia standards. It is extremely frusturating to copy/paste the same code onto a page only to have to do it again. Actually, that is incorrectly placed. That was the second draft, which was deleted by a different admin because he believed it was the same deleted material as the first page had. It did not. What is the reason that the page fails the Wiki "stringent" standards? Also, if you look in your own archive, I had responded and fixed the problems and waited for your response. After two days, you had not responded at all, so I redid the page and made sure it fit the guidelines. As I noted before, it fails WP:MUSIC specifically Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e. an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable). So not everyone. And citing a 2004 CNET article is testament to anybody's Googling skills. Additionally, his music is on Real's Rhapsody, Yahoo! Music, Napster, and eMusic. That's the top 5 digital distributors. And not EVERYONE can be on ALL of those.

Who decides what for "importance"? IMO, I don't think that Universal is a major label, yet everyone else might. The big problem here, Irish, is the fact that Indie bands/techno artists very rarely get signed by a really big label, so they end up with a smaller label such as Night Drive, Tarantic, or Jah Love. Yet their music, and lives, are as important as those few indie bands signed by the uber-big mainstream labels. Example: Rednetic Records. Small, yet they have released Mint (band)'s records. In fact, Night Drive, Jah Love, and Tarantic are definitely big enough to have their own, Wiki-compliant page, but no one's gotten around to it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.251.193.206 (talk • contribs)

This is ridiculous. What about the Wikipedia entries of Tom Merritt, Molly Wood, or Veronica Belmont? Besides CNET-related work, and their own personal blogs, where have they either published significant content or made an important contribution to some facet of life? And I don't see any secondary sources on their pages. I'm pretty sure I could find lots of other pages that aren't exactly adherent to Wikipedia's guidelines. Erier2003 02:41, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

I am trying to correct the incorrect birth date for Rose McIver article. If you regard IMDB as a 'source' for that info you may need to have it pointed out that IMDB are riddled with errors themselves. :-) trying to correct them is even more onerous than trying to correct wikipedia. The Wiki for THYAST I am currently editing then you keep deleting before I am finished. Claming that this is advertising which it is not.This article is post all over the internet. I am working on the Wiki as was approved a while back. I am reformatting the layout to create a better look and feel. the article is a documentary. Yes, I thought that it might have been, and it raises a serious point. On return from a period of being blocked, it seems that Vintagekits decided to look what someone he perceives as an adversary had been up to. He attacked me twice, once on Carrickfergus, where he challenged my figures. The challenge was answered, but I am being "reported". The other attack concerned the West Briton article, where I pointed out the minor anomaly that various insitutions in the Republic retain the prefix "Royal". Now most educated persons would, I think, agree that this might be a (harmless) manifestation of the West Briton concept (someone else has said this about Trinity and has not been attacked by Vintagekits or deleted). Vintagekits twice asked me why it was relevant, and I tried to explain. He then fell back on an old standby, "sources" which is fairly ludicrous since the institutions are well known, can be surfed, and are in the Dublin telephone book. He then deleted my entry.

This is, as I say, serious. As I've told you before, I have qualifications from two universities and over thirty years business expeience. The President of Dublin City University has commended my contribution in another (Irish) Forum. And yet here my contributions are attacked and deleted by a man like Vintagekits.

As I said before, to the best of my knowledge Alison is the admin who best keeps track of Vintagekits. Dropping her a line on her talk page about this might be the best avenue. Hallo Irishguy you are famous for having been one of the few people to look at the Judytwoshoes entry which is facing extinction - in my view, naturally, a pity!

I have edited the page. Some observant person noted that I, the writer, was the bass player! Good for them!

It did cross my mind that you may have seen [Judytwoshoes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judytwoshoes] in action -pretty unlikely though. If you listen to the audio files (and Judy did have a terrible voice, but then so did many others at the time!) you will hear the Bristol rabble. I refuse to believe that you were one of them.
