Hi Freddiewit,

Thank you for your contributions on Telamonia dimidiata. As noted on the main article this spider is the subject of a hoax email that has caused confusion in the past. Since this is an article about the spider and not the 'spider under the toilet seat' hoax, I think adding the contents of such an email as an example only serves as an additional source of confusion. Unless the text can be clearly highlighted in a suitable fashion I believe that it should be removed, especially when we already provide a link to examples in Snopes.

A side point is that quoting emails you have personally received makes it very hard to verify. (See WP:SOURCES) That's why using a reference to a prominent source like Snopes is advisable. - Composingliger ^{(contribs|talk)} 13:09, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
