Chris Free Peer Review

The lead is good, short and sweet. The article is structured well, though it would look better aesthetically if you had another sub-section. The coverage is balanced, you don't make any outlandish claims; you stayed balanced and your citations look good and reputable. I would try to clear up the paragraph about her writings and possibly even delve into what exactly she was writing about, though I realize this is likely easier said than done. Good job.

Good lead, gives a good overview of who Sattie was. What you've got so far is clear, if you can find some more info to add it would help but I can see the type of work she did. Balanced and neutral - no personal opinion blatantly shown. Sources look reliable, once they're in Wikipedia form the links will make it easier to check them. Don't forget to add the in-text citations. Kpb1370 (talk) 22:46, 28 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Prof. Smith feedback:

Hi Tucker,

I think you're very close to having a strong, polished article. Here's what I would do to improve it. - The article needs a better lead. Remember that the lead should state her *broad* significance clearly and succinctly. Right now, your lead contains too much personal detail that is best left for the body of the article. I would move the material about her parents, marriage, and specific organizations to the body of the article, perhaps under "Life and Work." The lead should be something like: Sattira "Sattie" Douglass was a prominent African American activist and organization in the nineteenth century. Move biographical details to the body.

- As Kellie notes above, the article needs in-text citations. See the article template that I handed out in class (also on the homepage of our Canvas site) about how to insert citations.

- Remember that you need "See Also" and "External Links" sections to have a complete assignment. See the article template that I handed out in class, and that is posted on our Canvas homepage, for details on what to include in these sections and how to format them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StaceySmithOSU (talkcontribs) 05:17, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
