Hutchens' Sugar Creek Gang series
I see a great many positive reviews of the series in works recommending juvenile Christian literature, as well as in magazines of the Missouri Lutherans and other Lutheran denominations. These are certainly independent of Hutchens' Moody Bible publisher, and would seem to show that the book series is notable. Unfortunately most of the reviews are only in snippet view. He seems to satisfy bio (weakly maybe) with the refs I added. Thanks for your editing. Edison (talk) 19:08, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Stubbing
Hi, rather than add Category:Stubs to an article like ALSAR, please add {{stub}}, at the end of the article. It creates the stub category and also the stub message appears on the screen. The article then need doesn't need {{expand}}, as that's covered in the stub message. Someone from stub-sorting project will then be along shortly to add a more specific stub type, as I've just done. Thanks. PamD (talk) 11:23, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
- Cheers for the heads up - and thanks for fixing that one. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 11:30, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 12:10, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Lorenzo Amoruso
Thank you for your message, which part of my edit in particular involved bias or npov? 90.194.100.16 (talk) 17:49, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
I have added sources to the areas you found problematic. Perhaps you could also subject the Blackburn Rovers section to your attentions since this contains ...never really justified his price tag, ultimately his time in England is seen as a failure which, on the face of it, is more pov than my additions which you deem worthy of a level one warning. 90.194.100.16 (talk) 19:00, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Thanks again for your help with the Amoruso article. I really appreciate that you take the time to explain your decision making on the talk page, so that we can work together in improving the article.
I would though take issue with you on a couple of minor points. Carefully chosen descriptive words are absolutely necessary for accuracy, while of course avoiding dramatisation. It benefits no-one to have endless, bland "criticism" and "controversy" obscuring verifiable, significant and reliably-sourced facts.
- Re. his racism I think the wording should reflect the facts. Amoruso had lied about the incident in his denials - pretending variously that he couldn't remember, he only speaks in Italian dialect (?) and that as a proud captain of Rangers he would never do so. Naturally when he admitted later that day that he had in fact abused Ikpeba (black b*****d was the term he used) reports were, in the main, very critical of him. The club were also widely criticised in the media and by campaign groups for not disciplining Amoruso when his racism and dishonesty came to light.
- To an extent I understand your position on the "foul with impunity" source. Perhaps this should read that Amoruso captained his side to the league. But I would still argue for a tentative qualification on that, after all, it's unusual for The Times newspaper - and others - to express themselves so forcefully on such a matter.
- On the Baileys addiction it stands to reason that this would impact upon his weight and Amoruso was quoted in RSs to that effect. It is important to stress too that sources show his Baileys misuse was an ongoing feature from at least 1997-2002.
I look forward to further collaboration on the article - please don't be offended if I make more improvements to the article in the meantime. Thanks 90.194.100.16 (talk) 17:05, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi
In your capacity as author - albeit one who doesn't know the difference between your and you're ;) - do you have access to an Athens.ac.uk log-in? I wondered if you might be able to check/verify some sources I found on LexisLibrary which our mutual friend deems "uncheckable."
Cheers, 90.197.224.58 (talk) 20:08, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- albeit one who doesn't know the difference between your and you're' - this always gets me. My main PC is set up to flag it in Chrome when I type it :)
- Athens - no I don't. But I might be able to get one - bear with me. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 20:10, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok my OU Tutors account gets me access - so what would you like me to check? --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 20:12, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Brilliant. On Lexis news search could you look up an article entitled TOP WHISTLER IN FRAUD PROBE; Quiz over insurance payout; Referee Brian McGinlay at centre of fraud allegations from the Daily Record dated 11 July 1995?
- It contains details relevant to the retirement of referee Brian McGinlay. Perhaps if you're not too busy you could assist with the addition of them to the article?
- Many thanks for all your help with this, 90.197.224.58 (talk) 20:28, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Gordon Strachan appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.80.52.44 (talk) 11:31, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Strachen
Nice edit, that is what it is like here a constant battle with people that don't give a damn about wikipedia or anything they just want to add some crap that they think is funny or supports their dislike or like of somebody, I would remove the right of such accounts to add anything at all, but hey thats just me. regards. Off2riorob (talk) 12:09, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've been struggling the last couple of days with "borderline" additions to lots of Scottish football related BLP's - it's a pain because somewhere in there is good content waiting to be found if someone could focus on it :) (thanks for your help this morning btw). Also; the IP seems to be swapping "owner" for "supremo" in BLP's... (after I said it was not really suitable to use). Just a heads up in case I miss something. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 12:14, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Yes I saw quite a few, like some kind of attack perhaps from on club fansite . That 192 has just added this now http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Gordon_Strachan&diff=373430759&oldid=373430109 I would just block him as disruptive , ask someone with as button to blast his sad ass. I warned him as to 3rr on strachen and the other article, if he reverts again anywhere, report him. Off2riorob (talk) 12:26, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, thanks I will do :) --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 12:27, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
I understand you reverted my edits. but If you read the article it is still not any less absurd. Its contains authors own personal view and commentary and violates several wikipedia protocols.
It is misleading and has a highly biased tone to it.
let me know if you read it and what you think.

As oppposed to everything else on the article is referenced? Please check the use of the word " lustful", lustful enemy, lustful siltan and the the sultan calling himself brother to a lady he want to sleep with. that suggests incestuous tendencies which I believe is much much worse. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.197.3.35 (talk)
NY confidential
Thanks TM . I am from the UK and although I realize there is an article in there somewhere I really don't know anything about it. Off2riorob (talk) 13:22, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks. I am from the UK also but have come across this industry as part of my work. Am at the limit of my knowledge here though. You are right there is an article there - NY Confidential is quite well known as being part of the 00's growing sex trade but I simply cannot source it reputably. There are no books on the topic either to my knowledge - it is simply too modern. In ten years maybe :) --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 13:25, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Ah UK rules then..Tiger Woods was mentioned in some of the removed content...anyways, we can and should be strong and remove anything that is not well cited and at least that way we may get a decent write. Best regards. Off2riorob (talk) 13:34, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Cassandra Wilson
Thanks. Just wondering why Steve Coleman only needs two references for his wikipedia article and you are requiring so many more "reliable sources" for Cassandra Wilson. There are two references from the New York Times that verify her early career and associations. Here is another: "http://www.nytimes.com/1994/03/21/arts/jazz-through-the-voice-of-cassandra-wilson.html"
Electromagnolia (talk) 21:05, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Electromagnolia
- Just wondering why Steve Coleman only needs two references.... I've never seen that article before :) so thanks, tagged it for the same issues. Please go ahead and add that references - that is the aim of the tag at the top of the page. There is nothing wrong with the tag being there - it is part of building the encyclopaedia. The issue with those sections is that they really need direct inline citations of sources relating to the content. That way it is clear they are cited & factual :) --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 21:11, 21 July 2010 (UTC)
- Please go ahead and add that references...
I'm trying to add reference to previous ones but unable to access those references. What am I doing wrong? Electromagnolia (talk) 21:31, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Electromagnolia
- Ah sorry. The references are "inline" - i.e. they appear next to relevant areas of text to which they pertain. Help:Footnotes is worth a read as this explains the concept in detail :) give me a shout if you run into trouble. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 21:35, 21 July 2010 (UTC)

Cassandra Wilson
Just wondering if you had a chance to review the new references in the article on Cassandra Wilson.
Please let me know if additional references are required.
Thanks again for your assistance. Electromagnolia (talk) 18:05, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Electromagnolia
- That looks like a good start. If you have more references that is good too - the ideal is that everything on the page is sourced and attributed (within reason). As there is no contentious material (from the looks of things) I see no problems with what is there. But hopefully over time we can build up comprehensive sourcing :) Thanks for what you did! --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 19:09, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for your Kind concern!!!
Hi, If you are talking about the WP Tittles and Names, so these company are also having the Single Tittle as you have suggested http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VISIS as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VISIS_Software
So you should also make changes in the following companies.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wipro should be Wirp_Technologies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infosys Should be Infosys_Technologies http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft should be Mircrosoft_Corporation
If you want i can send you more links on same reference.
Kindly suggest me what's wrong in VISIS.
Thanks Admin VISIS —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.177.14.168 (talk) 13:04, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
- Other entities exist for VISIS - a disambiguation page exists to allow people to access those options. If the legal name of your company is VISIS Software then that is the correct name. Microsoft is the legal name of the company and, also, no other names exist for that title. Please do not revert the disambiguation page again. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 14:31, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

And, yeh, I've been on something of a wikibreak (for several years) but decided to jump back into the fray and annoy people :) (and, uh, sorry about the gender thing - I usually pay more attention to that.. esp. as you do have a pink/purple sig.... fail :D) --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 16:10, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Notification of article probation
Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia! In case you are not already aware, an article to which you have recently contributed, Talk:Christopher Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, is on article probation. A detailed description of the terms of article probation may be found at Wikipedia:General sanctions/Climate change probation. Also note that the terms of some article probations extend to related articles and their associated talk pages.
The above is a templated message. Please accept it as a routine friendly notice, not as a claim that there is any problem with your edits. Thank you.

No problem
Hi, I responded on my talk page to you but I thought just in case you didn't see it I would also respond here. Don't worry about the changes I made this morning. It's really not a problem. I just happened to be going by there to another thread and decided that while I was there I would fix it. I knew changing what you said there to fix those minor errors there would not be any problem from you making those changes. I usually don't change things that others write but I knew this was different and approval for the changes would be it was acceptable. Have a good day and I'm sure I'll see you around, at least I hope so, be well, --CrohnieGalTalk 12:28, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

Hello, please explain
Why did you remove my addition to the Gordon Nuttall page this morning? There was no explanation. IMO this page needs serious repair after recent vandalism. For instance, why is it nobody's business when a megalomaniac plots to overthrow a Premier and become "King of Queensland"? I hope to also restore this information when time permits. Thank you for your interest. Didactik (talk) 22:13, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
(talk page stalking} Hi , I saw that, the article is also under siacussion at the BLP noticeboard here. Looking at the addition you added, it was not totally supported in the citation. You added "As a result of his corrupt activities, he resigned from the Labor Party in December 2006 rather than face expulsion." ... This claim that it was as a result of is not supported in the citation and as such is not correct, WP:OR and WP:SYNTH likely apply and of course WP:BLP our requirement to report in a neutral manner and supported by quality citations. The citation you provided did not support your desired addition, thanks. Off2riorob (talk) 22:26, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Note that in the previous sentence it says "He was later found guilty of corruptly receiving secret commissions". These are obviously the corrupt activities referred to by me. If, in your view, my contribution needs re-wording to clarify that these are the corrupt activities referred to, then contribute to the editing. Do not simply remove the information that Gordon Nuttall resigned from the ALP to avoid being expelled. If it is not correct that he was pressured to resign from the ALP for receiving secret commissions, then, reading the article, why do you think he was pressured to resign from the ALP? Do you think I made this information up? Do they simply pull names out of hats when deciding who to expel? Are you trying to give the ALP a bad name?
I disagree that I have contravened the WP guidelines you refer to. You seem to adopt the same tactics as OrderingChaos, shoot first and do not ask questions. Didactik (talk) 03:06, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
P.S. What is a siacussion? I am familiar with some of these WP terms and acronyms but the meaning of this one eludes me.
- Yeh, sorry, I meant to leave a talk page note about it but was a bit caught up with RL stuff last night. My rv was purely over the wording; it didn't seem at all neutral. Now, reading the source, I'm not sure it fully supports the factual elements of the addition. I think it is reasonable to say that the day before being referred to an ALP tribunal hearing that could have expelled him from the party he resigned. --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 08:16, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- I reinserted the content. Not in the lead though (as that feels unbalanced) but in the relevant section; please take a look :) (and sorry again for not properly doing the discuss bit) --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 08:23, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- Apology accepted. I also had doubts about this statement being in the opening section. I concur with your latest edit. Didactik (talk) 09:32, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi Tom, i have had some recent problems with Special:Contributions/90.207.105.117 and was wondering if you could take a look. I tried to alter their edits here, here and here but they have simply reverted. Thanks Monkeymanman (talk) 19:01, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, I spotted you editing some of that earlier. I made some edits and reverted some of the content - see what you think. Same person as before? --Errant Tmorton166(Talk) 19:36, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- The user has reverted some of the edits made to some of the articles. I think it is safe to say that they have edited Wikipedia before. They are showing similar patterns of editing as the other IP user. They are also using the same lexis library website for refs. I had a look at this wsc website and although they have a publication it looks like it is no more than a fanzine, with fan written letters or opinion pieces.
