Welcome to Wikipedia, Ecosse99! I am Abce2 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Images

Thanks for your help in cleaning up our image namespace. I have a couple of suggestions:

  1. Please, please, make sure to follow the directions in the templates. For example, when you list an image as "no source", you are also supposed to leave a note on the uploader's Talk page. If you look at the template, it'll give you a line you can just copy and paste, which is pretty easy.
  2. Don't list everything at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files. Those discussions are only for cases where we need to talk about whether an image meets our standards. For the stuff you've been doing so far, such as when an image is missing a source, you don't need to list the image there.
  3. If you are ever confused about how to use a new process, the best thing to do is to look for other people using it, and follow their lead. Another option is to go into your Preferences and enable a helper application such as Twinkle, which automates some of the above steps to make Wikipedia easier to clean up.

Again, thanks - let me know if you have any questions about any of this. (ESkog)(Talk) 08:13, 1 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
