Hello mate, about the Nissan Skyline page, the url www.skyline-owners-club.com is a commercial link. This is a limited company that is registered at Companies House UK, and they consistently spam this website with the link and delete the competition. I'm talking to you about this as I don't know the correct procedure for dealing with this. Thanks 81.155.113.11 06:59, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

I had added a few references to this article a while ago, along with that quote by Toby Gard, where he states that he wishes other designers (they) hadn't made her boobs so big, but I haven't specifically typed anything in that article of my own words yet. The reason I taken the NFS bit off is because that game did nothing to influence the sales of Supras, on the other hand, it did nothing to save the Supra from being axed as official imports outside Japan, it was mainly Gran Turismo that raised the popularity of Supras.

Also, the reason why I removed a bulk of that bit was it was cluttering up the page and wikipedia guidelines discourage trivias which that lists is considered to be and many of these games did nothing to influence sales of the cars, not to mention, it did nothing to save the Supra from being axed as official imports outside Japan.

Also to be very cynical, at the age of heavy product placement, these cars will always appear in videogames, therefore clogging up that article completely to the point that it would end up becoming bigger than than the article itself.

The WP I was referring to as you could always try raising this issue up on is WikiProject Automobiles, you'll know a lot of them there will be in favour of having these list purged as I have noticed in the past. I would recommend you to look at the guidelines of Wikipedia:WikiProject Firearms as they have barred the mention of guns in popular culture which we are looking at following their examples. Thanks for posting your reasons. That is far more conducive to cooperation than saying something to the effect of "complain to WikiProject Automobiles if you don't like it." I have raised the issue there and have not yet received a response. The fact that you direct me to Wikipedia:WikiProject Firearms gives credence to my complaint that there are no published guidelines for this specific type of information.
As for your second comment, I must respectfully remind you that assuming good faith is one of the most important principles of Wikipedia. What I do with my user page and sandbox is my business and it is not your place to make assumption about my intentions solely on that. In fact, if you had seen my comment here, you would know that I am actually pointing people to a cleaned up version of that sandbox. That would make no sense at all if I was plotting some edit war or "covering my tracks," as you put it.
For some reason, you also assume that I intend to add that list to the Toyota Supra article. That was never the case. It will either go to it's own article, like I suggested, or to a more appropriate wiki (the latter being much more likely).~ Dusk Knight 03:07, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

About the WP Automobiles bit, your reply was probably ignored as it wasn't at the bottom of the page,which would had been responded easily, therefore not everybody is going to be aware of that and I wasn't aware of it either. Also I would like you will need to refer to WP:TRIVIA as this will show that I am making a point.

About the WP Firearms bit, it in fact states... Avoid pop culture and trivia sections. In general they clutter articles, and contribute very little. The pop cultural item that the firearm appeared in must accurately represent the firearm. Acceptable pop culture information should be highly notable, for example: the Walther PPK's use by James Bond. Speculation as to fictional appearances such as claims of a fictional gun being based on a real one should be removed in all cases as they are original research. Likewise, lists of fictional appearances should be removed as they violate WP:AVTRIV. Citations are needed if the notability of an appearance is disputed; these citations should not be a list of appearances but should be a source actually showing increased fame or notoriety because of the appearances. See WP:MILHIST#POP for another set of guidelines pertaining to pop culture. This is the section that I pointed out. With your list, it can stay there in that case as long as it doesn't get used to clutter these articles. Willirennen 18:31, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Your point against the inclusion of these lists in the main article is clear and I don't dispute this. I do believe we have gotten off topic, however. My original question was where to find the ruling that being in NFS is not notable and where to find guidelines for these sections. Again, I'm not disagreeing with your reasons for removing these sections. I asked these questions because your comments and edit summaries made it seem like WP:CARS had posted rules and guidelines (not discussion in the talk page) that supported you. This is not the case as they do not appear to have posted any such guidelines yet. So my complaint is "why haven't guidelines been formally posted?" not "why were the lists removed?".
I'm familiar with Wikipedia:Trivia sections, and a list of appearances is not the typical disorganized trivia section this deals with. That's covered better in Wikipedia:"In popular culture" articles though that is not an official guideline. That's why I would like to see WP:CARS publish guidelines for this. Firstly, thanks for all your additions to the Nissan GT-R article. You may have noticed from the revision history that i'm babying that article quite a bit, and i'm always happen to see your name show up in the revision history.

With your latest addition of the "v-spec" section, would you mind if i move that to be under the "production" heading? I intended the "performance and specifications" heading to contain only hard facts about the performance and specs of the car (eg hp, weight, 0-100 and various track times); whereas general car information (including high-performance models) would go under the previous heading (clearly the layout still needs a little work). I hope this is okay with you.. let me know :) I'll probably reorganise the article a bit further when I make that edit also, to ensure it makes more sense. Hugzz 02:40, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Please teach grounds that GT-R is a "sports car". It consents if maclaren SLR and Bugatti Veyron and Lamborghini Murcielago that is slower than GT-R is defined as no supercar.

I noticed you reverted a change in the category sorting for Audi R4. I believe this should stay as R04 and not R4, because that is used for sorting and not displayed. See my comment on Daniel J. Actually, the boxes and layout in my page were designed by Phaedriel. I don't know much about the code for those boxes myself. All I did was copy the code from her page, change the colors, and add my text and pictures (it's okay to do that if you give her credit on your page). If you like, you are welcome to copy the source code of my page and replace the box contents with your own text and pictures. No problem. American English doesn't make any sense for an English character originally designed by a British team and owned by a London based company. I put the article in for RPP, and it has been semi-protected for a month. This should hopefully stop any people from posting more speculation. Yes, that seems like the best thing to do for now. It's unfortunate that inexperienced editors don't realise that there's currently no way to verify the info according to Wikipedia standards. Hello, you are right about your comment : (source doesn't mention the F-22 Raptor, just "the fastest airplanes"), but this source is the official press release from the factory. Automobili Lamborghini SpA has never stated the Reventon was inspired by the F-22 Raptor, this was made up by journalists, I've spoken with Stephan Winkelmann at the Frankfurt motor show when they unveiled the Reventon, and later when I met him during the intro of the LP560-4 in the Netherlands. He insists it was indeed inspired by fighter jets, but not by one in particular. Perhaps we should remove the entire F-22 notice and just put 'fighter plane' in the article ? Yes, since they say airplanes (plural), we can't identify just one. It seems the F-22 reference was made by Jeremy Clarkson, but no one has been able to provide verification for that. Anyway, it's probably a good idea to just use the press release quote. Some thing like, According to the official press release, the exterior styling was inspired by "the fastest airplanes". It might also be interesting to add, To emphasize this, Lamborghini staged a race between a Reventon and a Panavia Tornado fighter plane.[1]~ Dusk Knight 00:31, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, well it looks more like preference for the PS3 version than quality concerns. You seem to have it pretty well covered on the other editor's talk page. I didn't realise the wp:vg guidelines covered that specifically. I cropped the older version because it looked like someone had uploaded it for no other reason than to replace Xbox 360 cover art... and it had been reverted back and forth a few times. Well, I found those guidelines on the talk page of someone else who had been uploading PS3 box art, so figured they would be good guidelines to quote (unless they've disappeared now...!) I noticed that you are a big contributor in the "List of Super Nintendo Entertainment System games", and I'd like to invite you to contribute to the Talk:List of Nintendo 64 games#Removal of Alternate Titles and Number of Players where we are discussing the use of keeping alternate titles in the "List of...games" some have suggested that they take up too much space and that other columns could seem to be "useful only to fans", and other things that have been mentioned that, and other 'List of' talk pages. I know you might be watching the page and seen how I mention this on the Super NES games list page, but I hope you'll come and give you opinion, and hopefully keep these type of concerns from arising again and again at each "List of" pages.
