Your recent edit to the Spider-Man's powers and equipment article has been reverted. It is against Wikipedia policy to use stats taken from various encyclopedic comic books, such as Marvel's Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and DC's Who's Who in the DC Universe. All of the information gathered to make up the various articles devoted to comic book characters has been taken from a characters' appearances in regular monthly comic book titles over the years and are fair game. However, strength stats such as the one you used are found only within certain Marvel publications or, occassionally, in publications outside of Marvel control, such as Wizard Magazine, with Marvel's permission. Wikipedia doesn't have Marvel's permission to use those stats and if Wikipedia administration allowed and encouraged their usage in the articles, it would violate copyright laws and Marvel Comics could potentially seek legal action. Basically, whoever is ultimately in charge of Wikipedia is worried about having the crap sued out of them. Consistent usage of the stats in articles by an editor, if he or she has been made aware of Wikipedia's policy on them, will be considered as vandalism. Because, by the official site FCBD is May 2nd - A week from Saturday.

Add the stuff again and it will be removed and the pages protected until Noon on the 2nd.

Since there is no deadline, the material can wait until the published issue is released to the general public. Not when it came off of the press in Canada. Not when it was physically received and sorted by Diamond. Not when it was/is received by stores in preparation for the 2nd.
