Your submission at Articles for creation

I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Under the Feet of Jesus. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.

Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.

Here's a video tutorial - hit play, then right-click for "full screen".

Here's an example of how to add references:

Chzz is 98 years old.<ref> "The book of Chzz", Aardvark Books, 2009. </ref>

He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>

== References ==

{{reflist}}

That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.

Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Regarding My Editorial Changes to Under the Feet of Jesus

Dear Friends of Knowledge at Wikipedia,

Since I last submitted an article at Wikipedia, you have considerably closed the door to the submission of new articles, and I lament this. Our human knowledge does sprawl, doesn't it?

I do have sympathy for you regarding those users who do not realize the damage they do to public spaces such as this one by submitting the names of their best friends or relatives for fame.

However, please do know that, there are some ethnic groups (still), there are some socio-economic classes and job sectors in our free country who are not represented in the mass media because they are not "mainstream." Novels by Latinas/Latinos may sometimes fall into that category> If they do, despite their literary publication by a reputable press and their excellence, may not have the same number of reliable, notable, or recognizable public commentary as, say, Cormac McCarthy. In the case of these authors, I may never begin to garner enough Notable, dispassionate, outsider sources to allow me to contribute an article about these "outsider" literatures--and I may never have those, in enough quantity to satisfy the requirements of the encyclopedia.

Enough of a rant: now, my editorial changes:

For a small first novel, I wanted to issue a simple description (summary) of the work to act as a starting place for those who are reading it for the first time. That small and modest piece has grown to almost a fullscale academic article with extensive citations. I do not feel adding these has improved the work!

Viramontes remains very approachable despite a worldwide touring schedule and her teaching duties at Cornell. Some of her comments about her reasoning for developing plot and character as she did come from interviews, one of which is printed and cited herein. In general, I eschew internew sources, but I have included a couple, since that is the way the world wags.

Peace.
