Greetings, I have made some edits to your article to conform to Wikipedia's policies:

  • I have added categories, which should always be the most specific cats applicable (the cat "India" was far too general).
  • I have made some copyediting changes, particularly in the use of spaces after punctuation, capitalisation errors, etc.
  • I have removed some sentences which were subjective and/or laudatory, as Wikipedia articles must be written with strict neutrality. It is quite proper to add objective statements ("won XYZ award", "was lauded by Governor So-and-So as the greatest Anglo-Indian novelist", "her work was described as highly evocative by Lucknow University's Literature department"), but it is not policy to have personal editorial comments praising or interpreting events.
  • I have marked the article as "unreferenced" as it has no footnotes to published secondary sources. To address this, I suggest you read WP:References and WP:Footnotes.

I hope you find these edits helpful in continuing to develop the article. Please feel free to contact me on my Talk page with any comments or questions. --MatthewVanitas (talk) 22:13, 17 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
