I did a little light editing on your citations. The website URLs had spaces in them that were creating errors, and Wikipedia didn't like your date format. (It prefers them like this: "November 14, 2021.")

I also looked around for more sources that you might include. Searching on the UT Library search engine for "Joe Campos Torres" came up with something that looks like a poem from 1981, "Elegy for Joe Campos Torres," a Newsweek article from 1979, and an audio CD from 1978 that is located in the UT Benson Library. The CD looks like a recording of a discussion held in the TExas Union at UT. Also, searching for his name on the Houston Chronicle website comes up with other articles that mention him and give more details about his death. It also looks like his sister has been an advocate for police reform. I think all of this could fill out the context for the creation of the squad. In fact, there is a great Wikipedia article already on his death. You should like your article to that for sure. It also can't hurt to repeat some of the key information. For example, you don't mention that he was murdered by Houston police officers. The citations for the Joe Campos Torres article are very thorough. I bet that if you read through some of them, you will also find mention of the squad. Endnotes #28 and #30 look promising.

Searching the Chronicle for the names of the squad members, I didn't come up with much on them, but apparently the son of Raymond Gonzalez is also a police officer and was promoted to Captain this year in the Spring Branch Independent School District Police Department (https://www.houstonchronicle.com/neighborhood/memorial/article/Longtime-Spring-Branch-police-officer-Raymond-16115855.php).
