Bobby Freeman

Where did they get the information about his death and what are the references. I can't find any other website with this information. A blog is no reference for me. Pleasy verify your edit of the wikipedia article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:2028:749:2a01:9cc:6e87:e4c1:1ecb (talkcontribs) 21:20, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information via a child of the decedent. First hand reporter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dbrown4bbl (talkcontribs) 22:25, 28 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that - because of past hoaxes, etc. - we really need to see a reliable published source, before we claim that someone has died. Ghmyrtle (talk) 23:17, 31 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've now updated the article based on this source - which says that he died "on Saturday", that is, January 28. If your information is different (for instance, if you understand that he died on January 25 as in your original edit), we would be grateful if you could explain here. Thanks. The detailed information in the Vintage Vinyl News article has been shown to be wrong and has now been removed. So, the only reports that he has died are those from this account, plus the rather vague statement by Jeff Tamarkin here. We really need better confirmation - date, place, cause of death, etc. Ghmyrtle (talk) 22:27, 1 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
