Kate Soper (composer)

Hi, I see you're starting your Wikipedia work at Kate Soper (composer). Good for you.

Looking at your first edit, you've added some material that looks like you have sources for: a quote from somewhere, “primary piano-user in the household”; references to a couple books; a list of composers that apparently influenced Soper.

All of those need references. You'll often see edits like yours immediately reverted for lack of references. I didn't do that, at least for now, but please follow up and add references. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial.

This article in general is badly undersourced. You shouldn't look to the rest of the article as an an example of how it should be referenced. As the box at the top says, it really needs additional citations. By adding more uncited material, you're actually exacerbating that particular problem. If you want a good example to follow, check out, say, Gustav Holst or Frederick Delius; or any of the articles you see listed in the "Featured articles" section of Wikipedia:WikiProject Composers.

But no worries: just go back in and edit it some more to add your sources. For now I won't remove the unsupported material you added, on the assumption you'll be going back to fix it. I'll check back in a few more days. TJRC (talk) 01:09, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
