Information icon Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Ajit Singh (politician), but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Meters (talk) 03:22, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Either provide a reliable source that he has died or don't edit it. Meters (talk) 03:24, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No you can check also he is no more. Cristiono (talk) 03:27, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I had rechecked also. Cristiono (talk) 03:28, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it has been sourced now, but you were adding an unsourced claim of death. Read the link. It's up to you to add the source when you make the claim. Simply saying that you saw a source does not help. Meters (talk) 03:44, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I looked for a source and couldn't find one. Per WP:BLPSOURCES "contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately and without discussion" so I removed it.

Ok from next time i will confirm then edit. Cristiono (talk) 03:52, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's not a question of you confirming the claim. It's a question of you providing a reliable source in the article for the claim so that other editors can verify it. Meters (talk) 03:58, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
