Project ideas

Okay, good idea. We need to get some ideas down and implemented first before we start thinking about WikiDesks. :) But I like the idea. PeterSymonds (talk) 08:07, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, like the logo! PeterSymonds (talk) 10:03, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You can now. :) User:PeterSymonds/Userboxes. PeterSymonds (talk) 10:08, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Seems like a good topic to post this. What's this? --RyRy5 (talk) 10:17, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's the whole purpose of it? I might be able to help. And I'll be going to bed soon, it's 3:20 in the morning here.--RyRy5 (talk) 10:24, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, western USA, in Nevada. I'm guessing the purpose is like WP:UPH. Well, I am the only oerson renovating pages aactivly there now. I just finished renovting User:Perfect Proposal and admin User:Useight. So what's the purpose and can I help?--RyRy5 (talk) 10:27, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'll be doing some stuff at the page. All the help is needed with an experienced userpage designer (me). :) --RyRy5 (talk) 10:36, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't see why not, just say that you were the IP...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 09:28, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I was either 3rd or 4th...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 09:41, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're back

Welcome back...thought you retired! Well, I hope you've reformed now and all. I see you're having fun looking for secret pages. Actually, now that Wikipedia has that whole autocomplete thing it's not that hard, is it? That's the only way I can find pages in my userspace, since I always forget to link to them! Bob the Wikipedian (talk) 13:05, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFA

I really, really, REALLY suggest you withdraw your RFA right now. You don't have any chance of passing because of your recent history as well as your inexperience with Wikipedia (1,000 edits is really low for a lot of users' RFA standards). I think an RFA at this point is ill-advised. Metros (talk) 20:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I closed your RfA. Enigma message 20:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikibreak

Okay, that's fine. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 20:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That's alright. Sorry to hear about your RfA, but it was a very bad time to run. I'd advise at least six months to a year of solid editing before trying again, and I'm here for advice/mentoring (not admin coaching though, not yet. :)) Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 20:31, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re:RfA

Sorry, I'm undergoing admin coaching right now and have been offered nomination by my two coaches after that is complete. I would, however, be delighted to receive your nomination at that time (making it a tripe nomination)...... Dendodge .. TalkHelp 15:25, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate your appreciation of Dendodge, and thank you as well for nominating him for adminship. However, as the nomination was rejected, I'm going to delete the subpage as there is no need to keep it around. Would you mind that? Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 15:50, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I don't think any are online at the moment by the look of it. It'll be handled quite quickly; the username backlog is usually sorted in 48 hours at most. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 16:10, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Service Award

This editor is a
Novice Editor
and is entitled to display this Service Badge.

SimpsonsFan08, please accept this badge as a way of distinguishing your current rank as an editor (even though it's almost time for the next one!). It looks like you've already met the edit requirement for the next award, which is 1,000 edits. However, while edit count is indeed one way of setting you apart from other editors, keep in mind that respect comes with time as well. On May 2 (three months after your account creation), you will be eligible for the next service award. Keep up the good work! Bob the Wikipedian (talk) 16:17, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help page patrol

Hi SimpsonsFan08. As you're listed listed on Wikipedia:Help Page Patrol, I thought you might be interested in a discussion regarding the use of the {{resolved}} template. Editors have argued that it slows the loading time down through the use of graphics in particular, and also it is sometimes incorrectly placed, leaving some editors with an incomplete or incorrect response. Please express your thoughts at [[Wikipedia talk:Help desk#Recent constant use of {{Resolved}}]]. Thanks, and keep up the good work. PeterSymonds (talk) 17:03, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah okay, thanks. We'll see what the others think, though there's still the issue of incorrect placement. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 17:24, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

I'm sorry, but it's too soon after your recent block to assign rollback rights to your account. I know you've reformed, but the policy is to wait at least a few weeks and have some solid mainspace editing. After that I'll be happy to re-review your request. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 18:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, and have closed your request at WP:RFR. Please do not ask any other admins to change your userrights for a couple of months, unless they are clearly aware of you being declined both at RfR, and on your talkpage directly. Cheers, (great user name by the way, I love Family Guy. Friggin sweet. ) Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 18:28, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, your signature is entirely too long. I encourage you to find a way to shorten it to be less intrusive. Thanks, Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 19:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your rollback request

Hi! I regret that I must inform you that your request for the rollback permission has been denied. You can discover why by checking the archives at Wikipedia:Requests for rollback/Denied/May 2008#StewieGriffin!. RFRBot (talk) 18:30, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User page

Congratulations on the new user page, but some of the details are incorrect. You haven't been editing Wikipedia for 2 months and 25 days, I'm sure you realise that you have actually been editing for several years using a combination of alternate accounts and sock puppets. A condition of your unblock was that you would tell the truth and be honest about your past. That isn't happening at the moment. EJF (talk) 21:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wow. Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 21:14, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I blocked like 10 of your socks... so I can attest to what EJF says. ScarianCall me Pat! 21:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
