Speedy deletion of Barbara Wise

A tag has been placed on Barbara Wise requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Barbara Wise article

Hello, regarding the speedy deletion of Barbara Wise - first of all please don't misunderstand my intentions. Your contribution to Wikipedia is appreciated, however I believe this person is not notable enough to have her own article, since she appears to be famous only for one event, which by Wikipedia's criteria is not sufficient. However, since the article is reasonably small, it should be possible to merge it in your Commercegate article. For example, you can slighly develop the part that's about Barbara Wise and add to it information from the Barbara Wise article. Finally, I must say I'm not familiar with the story you're describing so I may be completely wrong about the notability of that person. If that's the case, or if you need some more info on how to do the merge, please feel free to let me know. Regards. Laurent (talk) 12:33, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like to remind you not to attack other editors, as you did on User Talk:SchuminWeb.
