Userfied

Just letting you know they userfied the article at User:Cassidyschap/Found Footage 3D. I'm going to keep it on my watchlist and try to help edit it as well. I figure that this is mostly the waiting game at this stage. When it releases it'll likely gain a ton of coverage. I'd be surprised if it didn't, but the biggest issue is that we can never guarantee the coverage. For example, I've got a few articles sitting in my userspace that I'm wholly surprised haven't been covered more, such as Bill Oberst's (whom I am now completely in love with actor-wise) upcoming film Deadly Revisions. He's the new It-Guy in horror right now, so part of me is frustrated that this hasn't been poured over by the various media sites. We also have cases where something can seem like something will be almost guaranteed to be made and filming is slated to occur at a specific time, but then it just never happens. In any case, this doesn't look like it'll be one of those instances (I hope) so it's pretty much just us waiting for the coverage to roll in. BTW, you might be interested in joining WP:FILM or WP:HORROR, both of which are WikiProjects devoted to their respective topics (film and horror). Horror is semi-active, but film is pretty rolling. (Sorry if this seems a little rambling. It's been a long night for me so far and I'm running solely on coffee right now.) Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:24, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

AfC declined

I noticed that an IP tried to submit the article via AfC, so I am assuming it is you. I've declined the AfC nomination because none of the issues brought up at AfD have been dealt with. No additional coverage has been forthcoming and the article is basically the same as it was while it was up for deletion, so I can guarantee that trying to move or re-add this to the mainspace will only lead to the article getting deleted. I really, really recommend that you wait until the film releases. Unless it's a highly visible film (which usually translates to mainstream coverage or an extreme indie darling), most horror films don't get any substantial coverage until they release and the reviews start pouring in. When this releases it's going to be extremely, extremely likely that FF3D will receive reviews based on the names involved, but it's never a guarantee and we really need to have that coverage before the article goes back in the mainspace. Trying to re-add it before it's ready and passes WP:NFILM will only end with the article getting moved back to the userspace (best case scenario) or deleted entirely (worst case scenario).
