Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Faulkner Hospital has been reverted.
Your edit here to Faulkner Hospital was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/faulknerhospital) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 18:56, 28 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. Requested username:

Request reason:

still learning about wikipedia, didn't know about username policy. just signed up to correct inaccurate info BWFH (talk) 13:31, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Be extremely careful not to engage in anything that might be deemed a conflict of interest; if you engage in that kind of thing, you may be re-blocked, and you'll have a lot harder time getting re-unblocked. The new name is OK. However ...

Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 14:05, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I understand all of that, was not trying to violate or promote anything but didn't know the username policy when I first signed up. Just trying to update factual info (update name that changed in 2012, remove affiliations that ended years ago, etc.) BWFH (talk) 14:19, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

OK, but if I unblock you you may not be allowed to do even that. What else might you be interested in editing? Daniel Case (talk) 23:17, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think any additional changes would be needed. The only changes that needed to be made are currently showing there so they'd be all set as is (the name of the hospital to the current name, updating the website address to reflect that and removing 2 old affiliations that aren't active anymore). So it would just be staying as it currently appears on Wikipedia right now. Thanks! BWFH (talk) 14:42, 6 November 2014 (UTC)BWFH[reply]

Can you please go ahead and unblock my account or is there something else I need to do? Thank you! (BWFH (talk) 21:16, 4 December 2014 (UTC))[reply]

It sounds like you still intend to edit the hospital's page if someone else changes the info that's there now. what you're saying suggests you don't think you need to edit it right now because you're satisfied with what's there. What Daniel Case is asking is what would you be editing beyond that hospital page which it appers you have a conflict of interest in regards to. only (talk) 13:10, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

While I didn't fully understand the COI the first time I edited the page months ago, which I acknowledged, I proceeded to educate myself on the COI policy and am very aware of it now. That was my first time ever using Wikipedia. That said, I don't believe any of the edits that are currently displayed on the page in question violate this policy in any way, as I just updated the name of the hospital, which changed almost 3 years ago, removed old affiliations which have not been in place for many years, and updated the website that was already listed there because it was no longer active. I did not add any promotional information and don't intend to in the future. I don't have any immediate plans to edit anything else on this page or on Wikipedia. If someone edits that page with accurate information, I don't need to edit anything obviously. I would like my username changed so that I can continue to keep this account for future use related to other pages, just like everyone else. Does that answer everything? If it's easier for me to just make a new account, please let me know and I'm happy to do that. (BWFH (talk) 15:14, 8 December 2014 (UTC))[reply]
