Bay Valley Foods

Can you please help me save my Bay Valley Foods article? The deletionists are after me.

Thank you

Beer edits

Hi. Thanks for moving the tag onto the correct section. I notice that a big section of text got deleted during that edit - was someone else editing at the same time? Did you get a conflict page? Nobody else shows up on the history so it looks a little odd. Has that happened to you before? I note that you tried to restore the missing text, but you took an earlier edit - I have restored the page to the most recent edit so all is well now. Cheers! Talk:Beer. A similiar thing happened on the Beer Talk page. When you moved the FAC tag to the talk page a huge section of discussion was deleted from the bottom of the page. I have restored the missing section. Any idea what is causing text to be deleted during your edits? SilkTork 10:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal on Notability

Because you're a member of the Association of Inclusionist Wikipedians, I'm notifying you that the inclusionist proposa Wikipedia:Non-notabilityl is in progress to define the role of notability in articles. Please help us make this successful! Also note the proposal Wikipedia:Importance is a deletionist proposla that seeks to officially introduce notabiltiy for the first time. Make sure this is defeated! --Ephilei 22:23, 25 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Inproper reverts

Hi, you said I made misleading edits of some pokemon article in which the accents were removed. While this may be true, there was also a very large picture of a penis. I tried to get rid of this as best I could (ie by finding the pic and removing it from the article). However the image seemed to appear selectively in recent edits. I reverted to the first one I saw that did not include a penis. I made similar edits to other pokemon articles where similar vandalism had occurred.

I apologize for the confusion, but there most definitely was vandalism on these articles. Harley peters 18:18, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi BrokenSegue,

I see from Talk:Franco Fenoglio that that you are unable to find any evidence that this unpublished poet is a neo-nazi. For my part I cannot even locate any evidence that he exists—Google is coming up with nothing for a Franco Fenoglio who is a poet, writer, poeta or scrittore: let alone one linked to fascism, or fascismo. I was wondering whether your researches had at least established that Beppe F. had a son in 1953?

Cheers!
Ian Spackman 22:36, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can read Italian a bit, and nothing I found seemed to about the subject of the article. So I think you are right and that a WP:PROD is the simplest way forward. But I’ll have a quick look at the references given in it:Beppe Fenoglio first. If the article is hoax, it is quite an abstruse one! —Ian Spackman 23:34, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting

You only needed to rever the Zoo and Arrested Development articles. The other edits I made were not vandalism. I am going to make those edits again so please do not revert them. Sorry about the vandalism. 75.3.60.48 04:55, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry if I did anything you anger you. You seem like a very good person and I would not have made any bad edits if I had known it would cause trouble to a person like you. 75.3.60.48 04:58, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page protection

Don't protect pages with only a single vandal edit, and certainly don't full-protect them when it was an IP making that vandalistic edit. Many editors are affected by such protections and should only be used when necessary. —Centrxtalk • 23:19, 1 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I know, I wasn't trying to get on your case about it. These were tangential articles like Elephant (film) which is linked from the Elephant disambiguation page and had only one IP edit. Even some of the most major vandalized articles like Stephen Colbert and The Colbert Report didn't really warrant full protection, at least for more than a few minutes. The reasoning is similar to leaving the Main Page featured article unprotected, and the user account vandalism dried up after they were blocked and the show ended. —Centrxtalk • 02:21, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Barbara Swartz protection

I protected Barbara Schwarz based on the failure of the article to conform to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons and the disruptive edit warring which resulted when attempts are made to achieve conformation. However please engage in dialog on its talk page. Perhaps it can be unprotected and expanded without this draconian remedy. Fred Bauder 02:56, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let me help you out with that Japanese language box that you've got on your user page but don't know what it means. Kane (Command & Conquer)

Gee, thanks a lot. And no, I'm not the person who added the featured article tag. 217.136.51.51 06:51, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I recall that you contributed to the FAC discussion for the article on Felice Beato that I nominated some time ago, and I'm wondering if you now wouldn't mind checking out the Pierre Rossier article (on another 19th century photographer in Asia), which is a FAC? It's been languishing on the FAC page for several weeks and has four "support" votes (with none opposed). Thanks for your help! Pinkville 02:24, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. You were very helpful to me when I first "joined" the wikiteam. I have tried to solicit others to have a discussion about external links. Please see the comments at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Albert_Bierstadt. Can you give me some sage advice regarding this topic? If so, please make the comments on the Bierstadt talk page in response to my comments. Thanks. JJ 14:28, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Talk:Saleh and Daoud Al-Kuwaity are Kuwaiti NOT Iraqi.

Im sure that they are Kuwaiti and I wish you edit your article. Most Kuwaities are proud of their music. Yes they are Iraqi in orign as a lot of Kuwaiti people, but they consider them selves as Kuwaitis and they changed their family name from ezra to "al-Kuwaity" which means the kuwaiti. Kuwaiti Encyclopaedia By Hamad Al-Suaidan:

"Jews of Kuwait: There were many of them in Kuwait, orignly came from Iran and Iraq and they live in Kuwait around 100 years. the sources said that they are 200 jews and they lived in the street of jews "Souk al-safafeer now" and most of them left Kuwait in the 1930's to Israel and Iran. And there are famous Kuwaiti Jews like Saleh and Daoud Al-Kuwaity and their real name is Saleh and Daoud Ezra".

Marcy Wheeler

I recently contributed a brief article on Marcy Wheeler, a blogger well known for her analysis during the PlameGate affair / Libby trial. You rejected the article for the reason "failed to establish notability".

Please elaborate, as Marcy Wheeler is exemplary as a blogger, her analysis is to the point and illuminating, she has credentials as an author, as a commentator, and an important contributor to the web and mass media coverage of the Libby trial. That certainly makes her notable to the people who followed the Libby trial on the web.

The original article listed several sites beyond the Next Hurrah where she has been published, such as FireDoglake, Daily Kos, the Huffington Post. She was the featured guest at the YearlyKos fundraiser a month ago, not notable to the world at large, but it certainly speaks to her standing in the left of centre web community of the USA. She's been a commentator on PoliticsTV.com. Her book "Anatomy of Deceit" is cited more than once in Wikipedia articles. What level of notability is required to justify a Wikipedia entry?

If you have a political bias for rejecting the article, please be forthright. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Turtlens (talkcontribs) 04:24, 3 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:ACC logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:ACC logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 07:19, 20 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rick Roderick

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Rick Roderick, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You have helped me in the past. Please see: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:JKensett_Mount_Washington_%28JJH-JFK001%29.jpg. What information is being requested, and how do I add the appropriate tags? The image is in the public domain, and it came from my website, whitemountainart.com. Thanks. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Quantitative Analysis Software (Finance), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
