I was unaware that my user name was against Wiki's username policy. I would like to have it renamed but am unable to due to the block

Hello there. Because your username was blocked due to its conflicting promotional aspects (i.e. it appeared to (or did) represent a company/website with which you may be affiliated, there are bigger issues than just changing the account name. You must also read and agree to abide by certain policies which I will list here:

WP:NPOV your edits cannot be slanted positively or negatively to any entity with which you may be affiliated, no "real world" issues can affect your contributions
WP:AUTO you must not write articles about yourself, or entities with which you are affiliated. Wait for others to write about them.
WP:RS, WP:OR and WP:CITE, information that you add must be referenced to reliable, suitable third party information sources. Content which you just "know" because of knowledge you have gained on the subject while, say, being employed by an entity, using an entity, or just through life experience, can't be used. For instance (and this is a more extreme example but it illustrates my point) everyone knows you need to burp babies to avoid discomfort, but unless a reliable, third party (i.e. not affiliated to you) group have said so in a document book or website that you can put a footnote to, it can't be included by any of us in the relevant Wikipedia articles.

Complicated? Yes. It took ages for the authors of these polices to hash them out, but we all have to abide by them. But in the mean time, have a read of those.
