Articles

Articles in the English Wikipedia must be written in English. If you want to write in a different language, go to that Wikipedia and write your articles there. If a Wikipedia does not exist yet for whatever language you are writing in then you will need to go to the Wikimedia foundation and request a new version be created. Do not create any more articles unless they are written in English. ~ GB fan 10:41, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The title must be in English also. ~ GB fan 11:20, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The speedy deleted articles were in Meitei language. --47.156.8.159 (talk)

Please do not say anything such as "Shame on you" to another editor. This makes others feel offended or uncomfortable and will not establish good relationship with you. If you were the one who was told to be shame on yourself, would you feel happy about that? Consider you words please. ~ Abelmoschus Esculentus (talk to me) 13:02, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think HG is not supporting our local languages/Alphabet .We are people's of Manipur

Imphal east is one of our district ,so I am putting in native name in name language written in native script i.e. specially Meetei Script Meetei Mayek. Is it adding native name which English can't pronounce properly in our language is not applicable?--Awangba Mangang (talk) 15:23, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for following up. I have removed my recommendation for blocking, as I believe your edits are in good faith. However, the issue is that native English browsers do not have the characters for that language as part of a standard language pack, so they are showing up as boxes instead of actual content, so the edits you are making are not showing up correctly to those that do not have these characters installed on their computers. Sorry for the mis-tagging, but I would perhaps wait to add characters in that language on Wikipedia until you can confirm the proper formatting, else someone else will likely have to revert the edits again. Thanks for your efforts! - PabloMartinez (talk) 16:44, 27 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Khoijuman

Hi, I'm Boleyn. Awangba Mangang, thanks for creating Khoijuman!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. The references are somewhat unclear.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Boleyn (talk) 12:28, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Khoijuman, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Indian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:13, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@DPL as per your notice I have corrected it . Thanks for your notice. Awangba Mangang (talk) 12:02, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Legacypac this was my ❌ (wrong) entry when I was little knowledge in Wikipedia edit/page creation. Awangba Mangang (talk) 08:30, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent articles

I have seen several articles such as Moilang which you have recently created. Thanks for your work.

Two points:

  1. Don't link numbers like Seven
  2. Do give more geographical context: the word India should be in the lead sentence. This is an international encyclopedia.

Speedy deletion nomination of Tapta

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tapta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
