Wendy Weatherbee has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this fiction-related subject might not be appropriate for its own article. Please review Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so. For instance, it is often best to merge material about characters into a single list of characters instead of having separate articles for each.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" notice, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod notice, the deletion process will stop, but if an editor is still not satisfied that the article meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion for consensus. Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

Thank you. Daniel Case (talk) 21:26, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wendy Weatherbee is a character from Archie Comics. Do you remove all fiction from Wikipedia? Have you removed all articles about Superman and Batman? Did you remove Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn from Wikipedia because they are fiction as well. I'm sure children use Wikipedia as well and they might want to find out more about the characters they are reading about. Wikipedia is supposed to be an informational tool for people of all ages. Even young readers.

Blocked

This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because of concerns that the chosen username may not meet our username policy.
This is often not a reflection on the user, and you are encouraged to choose a new account name which does meet our guidelines and are invited to contribute to Wikipedia under an appropriate username. If you feel this block was made in error, you may quickly and easily appeal it - see below.

Our username policy provides guidance on selecting your username. In brief, usernames should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, related to a 'real-world' group or organization, confusing, or misleading.

If you have already made edits and wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name you may request a change in username which is quick and easy. To do so, please follow these directions:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. This is possible because even when you are blocked, you can still edit your own talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note, you may only request a name that is not already in use. The account is created upon acceptance – do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change since we can far easier allocate your new name to you, if it is not yet used. Usernames that have already been taken are listed here. For more information, please visit Wikipedia:Changing username.
Last, the automated software systems that prevent vandalism may have been activated, which can cause new account creation to be blocked also. If you have not acted in a deliberately inappropriate manner, please let us know if this happens, and we will deactivate the block as soon as possible. You may also appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or emailing the administrator who blocked you.

MY NAME IS AUTOBOT85! it doesn't end in just BOT. There is a number after it! Whoever tried to block my name why don't you actually USE Wikipedia and type in Transformers! So my name is Autobot85 and it gets blocked? BUT if it was Decepticon85 it would be OK because there's no BOT in it? What if my name was DontBotherMe85? Would you still remove it? Because BOTHER has the word BOT in it! My Email address is autobot85! It comes from Autobot (My favorite cast of heroes) and 1985 (The year 1985. My favorite year of the series). So, I'm sorry my name is not Ewok83, Yoda79, or ObiWan77, Spock66. However I do see there are a few people on here who SHOULD change their name to Loser07.
