I'm sorry, but text that is copyright cannot be brought into Wikipedia. This is because Wikipedia is licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 and the GDFL for free use by anyone anywhere. Copyright text is not free to use in this way. As to the article on an opponent, Wikipedia has a policy of insisting that subjects of articles are notable - by our definition of notable. If you tell me who the opponent is, I will check the article to make sure it belongs here. WP:BIO is the policy that applies here, with WP:RS about reliable independent sources applying everywhere. WP:POLITICIAN also applies here. This states that being a candidate does not give notability, and explains which level of politician counts as notable (state legislature and above over there, MSP, AM and MP over here in the UK, and MLA in India are examples of notable - city and county councils are not). Sometimes articles slip past our patrollers and have to be caught by other means - and we do have WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS (or a somewhat ruder alternative name...) which explains that the existence of one article has no bearing on the existence of another. We do not have any policy of 'fairness' or 'equal exposure'. Various countries have laws insisting on equitable exposure on public media. We insist on notability, as I said above. This does mean that an incumbent may have an article if of a notable level of seat, while an opponent may not (unless they merit one on things outside the election).
