Information icon Hello, I'm Anaxial. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Thirteen-lined ground squirrel, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Anaxial (talk) 20:46, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure where to add the citation, whether in the footnotes below or somewhere else. In any case, the source can be found here: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/grinnie
The article cites an article from the Des Moines Register stating "if you know what a squinny is, you're probably from Des Moines, which is sort of ironic because I grew up in Iowa and had never heard the term "squinny" until I saw that same article a while back. Growing up, we called them "grinnies". Also worth noting that at least in our neck of the woods, grinny only refers to a ground squirrel, not a chipmunk. 2600:1700:DEA0:3D60:90E6:C634:8E35:2EE8 (talk) 23:29, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
