What's your name?

Your name looks Indo European but what does it mean? I'm really into Proto Indo European mythology Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 17:15, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It comes from *diwo-, oblique stem of *Dyḗws and *déh₃-r̥-, literally means "gift of *Dyḗws". It is like a calque of Greek Theodoros and Sanskrit Devadatta.
I'm also interested in Proto-Indo-European mythology and the language reconstruction, I frequently edit Wiktionary and have a document with reconstructed PIE pantheon and myths. *Diwodh₃rós (talk) 17:31, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@*Diwodh₃rós can you share the document? Are there any deities from it that are missing in this template?

Here it is: [1]. *Diwodh₃rós (talk) 18:19, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. It contained the updated romanization of PriHyéh₂. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 19:03, 6 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page List of Proto-Indo-European deities, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "missing periodical" error. References show this error when the name of the magazine or journal is not given. Please edit the article to add the name of the magazine/journal to the reference, or use a different citation template. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can (bot)&section=new report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 08:37, 6 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edit reversion

In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.

I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.

I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. S Philbrick(Talk) 16:55, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deh₂nu

Just a note of clarification. I restored part of your edits here https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Deh%E2%82%82nu&oldid=1153843072 after they were reverted. I did not mean to remove content you readded. There was an edit conflict and as I was editing an old revision I got no alerts Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 17:24, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I know. *Diwodh₃rós (talk) 17:25, 8 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

H₂n̥gʷʰis

I have started the draft H₂n̥gʷʰis a while ago. I am not really knowledgeable enough on this particular deity, but I imagine you might be able to help. Immanuelle ❤️💚💙 (talk to the cutest Wikipedian) 08:31, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, I can help you with this article. *Diwodh₃rós (talk) 09:31, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Short form references

Hi *Diwodh₃rós. Every time you use a short form ref, such as the {{sfn}} or {{harv}} templates, you must also add a fully formates cite to the article to define what the short ref is refering to. I fixed the issue at H₂n̥gʷʰis, but you will need to add one to PriHyéh₂ for "de Vaan 2008" and any other article where the cite missing. For instance your draft Indo European table is missing cites for "West 2007" and "Anthony 2007". I suggest you turn on the error messages for this type of reference, details of how to do so can be found here Category:Harv and Sfn template errors. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 20:04, 28 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited PriHyéh₂, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pamphylian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:26, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
