HotSocky was a predominant american rock band in Manhattan's Lower East Side. The Band Formed in 2001 by singer/songwriter Greg Lattimer and high school friend Jerry "Stereo" Lynch. The band was a project subsequent to Latimer's tenure with Thin Lizard Dawn on the RCA label. Notably, the band was titled "Number 1 National Unsigned Act" at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland in 2002, headlined the Joey Ramone birthday parties at New York's Bowery Ballroom and was chosen to be the closing act an New York's infamous rock club Brownies. The Band was also featured as the first headlining act at New York rock club Pianos.

Upon return of five years in Seattle, Wa, Lynch, singer/songwriter of the Leftovers, joined with Lattimer, and with the help of drummer Buz Automare (Psycotica) and bass player Adam Stahl, self produced the band's first album, self-titled, featuring the tracks "Loves Sick" and "Hang on". The band was featured on several compilation albums, including New York's Next Wave series and The Night Before Christmas.

In 2003, after the departure of drummer Chad Royce, drummer Tom Collins joined the band. Lattimer now operates the Now record label in Nashville, Tennessee.
