Klein Dytham architecture (KDa)

Klein Dytham architecture (KDa) is a multi-disciplinary design practice known for architecture, interiors, public spaces and installations. Established by Royal College of Art graduates Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in Tokyo in 1991.[1] In 1996, Yukinari Hisayama joined KDa as a key member.

Before establishing KDa, Astrid and Mark worked at Toyo Ito & Associates in Tokyo.[2]

Today KDa is a multi-lingual office with an international reputation and a high-profile client list including Google, Tsutaya, Sony, Virgin Atlantic, Nike, Uniqlo, Selfridge's and Japan Rail.

In 2003 Mark and Astrid devised PechaKucha Night[3] as an event for Tokyo designers to meet and share their work – it has now grown into an international network with events running in over 1,200 cities around the globe, inspiring creatives worldwide[4].
