The Parents are a Derby based garage rock band formed by Sebastian Vulva and Flip Lowe in September 1998. The almighty Louis Roque was persuaded to join a year later in August 1999. After many, many auditions - Milkshake Waddington, who was the ex-drummer of Derbyshire band Weavers Ro', was then drafted in on drums.

Their first gig was at Bar 101 in Derby, September 2000, to a crowd of 120 people. They supported a Polish refugee band called MAZ.

NYC Sus joined in 2001 as lead guitarist and Cake Miller joined as a replacement to Flip Lowe on Bass.

Their latest album, "British Swingers" was released in October 2012.
