The Fundaminimalist is a blog that features articles on the increasing irrelevance of race and religion. The name comes from the novel "The CoolKids" written by novelist R. Dean, where the main character, Bartholomew Moriartity, frequently falls victim to malapropisms through his strained pseudo-intellectual posturing, leading to the birth of the word in the novel's conclusion.

Fundaminimalism is a philosophy of turning down one's racial and religious impact. It treats race, ethnicity, nationality, patriotism and religion as inauthentic modes of thought. In the novel, these groups are represented by high school cliques but the commentary is on the larger, fabricated differences between fabricated groups claiming superiority through inbreeding or worshiping a theory of creation.

After the novel's success, the author created The Fundaminimalist as a way to satisfy reader's interest in the themes of the novel and the practical applications of the book's philosophy.
