I'm here as an editor to help improve content and to participate in a truly awesome project such as Wikipedia is. I consider myself to be more of an editor than a content producer. I like to find references for obscure trivia that has been flagged. I don't like excessive wikilnks. I think they are one of the coolest things about Wikipedia, but used excessively make the body text more difficult to read. Most good things in life are best in moderation. I will bring up topics in the talk section though I don't like to debate. More that likely even if you are dead wrong I won't reply or join in the discussion unless you send a private message to me. I treat this page and my sandbox as testing ground for anything or to give me something to learn. Just remember be bold and give everyone the benefit of not having doubt in them.

Wikipedia:Today's articles for improvement

Would you like to lend a helping hand, or just get more involved? The Today's articles for improvement (TAFI) project is a great way to contribute. This project identifies and collaborates upon underdeveloped articles that require improvement.

There are no requirements for membership (other than the fact that you must be extra nice to newcomers) and it is wikifun!

Tip of the moment...
Find uncategorized articles

Articles created without a category should be tagged with a maintenance tag. Use the {{Uncategorized}} tag to put articles in a maintenance category. Optionally add a date parameter like {{Uncategorized|date=July 2024}} to put articles in by-date maintenance categories.

Such tagged articles are found at Uncategorized pages. You can try to categorize articles yourself. One useful technique is to follow links in the article to other similar articles and see how they are categorized, so you know what to copy.

Greece celebrating their Euro 2004 win

The UEFA Euro 2004 final was the final match of Euro 2004, the 12th European Championship, organised by UEFA for the senior men's national association football teams of its member associations. The match was played at the Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal, and contested by Portugal and Greece. The two defences ensured that goal-scoring opportunities were limited, and the score was 0–0 at half-time. Greece scored the only goal of the match after 57 minutes when Angelos Basinas took a corner kick to Angelos Charisteas, who sent a header past goalkeeper Ricardo. Several pundits labelled Greece's tournament win the greatest upset in the history of the European Championship, with their pre-tournament bookmakers' odds at 150–1. Greece subsequently failed to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and did not successfully defend their European Championship in 2008. Portugal eventually won the European Championship in 2016.
