[1]Subroto Paul was born and brought up in New Delhi. As a teenager, he has co-founded “Agantuk – Theatre of Thoughts” along with Bhaskar Paul and has performed numerous shows in Delhi/NCR. During this tenure, he also stayed in West Bengal and got inspired by its culture and his Icon, singer Nachiketa Chakroborty.

In his film school, Sri Aur[2]obindo Centre for Arts and Communication, he has scripted and directed short Film named “Road to No where” - a film on drug addiction. The film won an award as the best educational film in 17th UGC-CEC Film Festival, Pune.

Started carrier in news channels such as NDTV & Sahara India In 2010, Subroto co-founded a television and video production company named Timeline Media Factory (TMF) in New Delhi and has done more than 50 documented features focusing on Interiors & Cultures of India for Xighua China & Made films for Metlife, DLF Pramerica, HSBC, and many others. He also directed TVC’s for various ministries. In 2013, his for Centum Learning has been awarded as the Best Corporate Film in Star Awards 7th Indy’s Film Festival, Mumbai.

Before moving to Mumbai he was also associated with episode for popular serial Mano Ya Na Mano.

The Indian film industry has been generous and given him opportunities to work as an Assistant Director to the movies like Veerappan & Love Exchan[3]ge. He has also been associated & writing scripts & concepts for various Advertising agencies & Channels.

Subroto’s current offering “Nirdosh” as India’s First Suspect Releasing on 19th January 2018.[1] [4]
