About me:

I am an AbD Art Historian and tenured college professor with 25 years experience in museum research, exhibition, and program management and 14 years college teaching experience. My career specialization has been in the study of 19th century photography, Native American and Latin American art, and 18th and 19th century New England history and culture. I teach Ancient to Medieval Art History, Art of Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas, and Art Appreciation. I have joined Wikipedia to contribute to the improvement of one of the most accessible and frequently used resources available to my students. I encourage my students to use Wikipedia critically, see it as a forum for scholarship, and take advantage of the visual and documentary source material that supports every article. I also wish to contribute to a resource that presents information using correct grammar, orthography, and factual truth. For these reasons, I may propose edits that are minor in terms of the information and ideas, but improve the presentation of the material.
