Jake John Richardson (born November 12, 1998), known professionally as Sinikill (stylized as $inikill) is an Australian musician and rapper from Clyde, Melbourne. He has released 3 Mixtapes, 2 solo EPs, 2 collaborative EPs with members of the underground Hip-Hop group (Anti World), Leon'sWOLF, Eric North & SHARK.

Beginning his career he studied the basics of Hip-Hop & began recording at home, he began a solo career in 2012 under the name Eskii. After posting a number of songs on SoundCloud he became increasingly influenced by the ever growing horrorcore rap scene on the platform, which led to him taking on the $inikill moniker and associating with members and affiliates of Anti World. He also featured with other American rappers such as; K Koze, Dion, MLBRN, Lil Chimney & Leblanc. He has also bought open verses in the works of Smokepurpp & Soulja Boy

Early life

Jake "John" Richardson grew up in Maccelsfield, Emerald, Melbourne with his mother & step father. As a young boy they introduced him into a variety of music including hip-hop, heavy metal, oldies & country He became influenced to make music through various Artists & groups like Slipknot, Eminem & Limp Bizkit, as well as various country and sad piano compositions that he had put on an iPod. He was eventually accepted into a School of Audio Engineering SAE at the age of 18 and began a Diploma in Audio Production, sadly the course did not entail elements to be used for hip-hop production nor how to record vocals professionally, he moved on after the first year. By 19 he was working full time as a Gardener/Landscaper, he had invested all of his own finance into building a professional studio in his spare bedroom, the lack of help from mates made him more determined, which led to him to start producing, filming, recording & marketing on his own. His first concert was at the ANZ stadium at 15 watching Eminem, Hilltop Hoods & Lil Wayne. He found himself attending a lot of music festivals & artists concerts over the next few years, Soundwave twice as well as the Big Day Out twice, networking with connections as well as becoming a frequent user of cannabis with the occasional drink. by the time he was 21 he and his mother had faced multiple eviction notices and struggled with bills having to either stay at his mothers friends or crashing on someone's couch, but he maintained a full time job gardening while balancing his music on the side and moved his mother and himself into a brand new house in clyde.

Musical style

Richardson's early solo music has been categorised by critics as depressing rap with the hate out weighing the supporters he still done his style and stuck by it. He disavows that his music makes people feel depressed but rather explain depression on a level only people who suffer it can understand. He quotes " I make music for people who are depressed as an outlet, a healthy alternative people can relate to than rather bottle up your emotions, thats how people make poor decisions and become sick mentally." His music often incorporates "trap", "heavy Metal" & little bits of "country" with lyrics. He has cited some influences including "Sybyr", "Nascar Aloe", "Slipknot", "Luke Combs", "The 2 Live Crew", "The Cure" & "Yelawolf".
