Paul Garmirian is an American author and cigar maker.

Originally born in Lebanon, Paul Garmirian came to the United States by way of England in 1965. In 1975, he received a PhD in International Politics from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC. Between this time and 1990, Paul Garmirian was self employed in the field of real estate in McLean, Virginia.

Paul Garmirian always enjoyed cigars and considered their study to be a hobby. After several years of research during the 1980s, he published The Gourmet Guide To Cigars, a book that is now considered a staple of the industry. That same year, he founded the cigar brand Paul Garmirian in 1990.
