Sarah L. Brinklow (1961-). American poet, author, editor. Brinklow was the artistic director of Darkwrite, where she specialized in the literary support and promotion of young people in the art of writing and providing them with a forum of self expression. Ms. Brinklow has 35 years experience in writing with particular emphasis on poetry. She is a member of Rochester Poets, Rochester New York. Some . of her prominent pieces have been included in the publications The Womanin the Mirror, an Anthology of Women Celebrating Women (Palettes and Quills, 2004), Knocking on the Silence, An Anthology of Poetry Inspired by the Finger Lakes [1] (Foothills Press, 2005), Le Mote Juste (Just Poets Anthology, 2006), Common Intuitions (2005) and the Pinnacle Hill Review (CFK Publications, 2005). Her work has been featured at Writers and Books, Rochester, New York, Liftbridge Book Store, Brockport New York, as well as at other poetry events.

As co-founder of a local citizen's group, Brinklow has spoken many times before the Monroe County (NY) Legislature and Rochester (NY) City Council. She has also met with local officials regarding citizen's concerns. She ran unsuccessfully for a school board vacancy when opposing term limits of incumbents.

Ms. Brinklow has written feature articles for publications, as well as commentary for various online political journals. Her book, Like Flaming Fields Stoked By A Gentle Breeze: One Womyn's Sojourn From Pain[2], was published in 2002.
