North Star Mutual Insurance Company is a Midwest property-casualty mutual insurance carrier headquartered in Cottonwood, Minnesota.[1] The company offers Farm, Home, Auto and Commercial insurance through a network of 1,500 independent insurance agents.[1] Writing $380 Million in premium, North Star Mutual has a financial strength rating of A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best and in 2015, the company was listed as a Ward's Top 50 property-casualty insurance company for the 11th consecutive year.[1] In 2016, a Coning & Company study identified North Star Mutual as a top 20 personal lines growth and profit leader over the past decade.[2] North Star Mutual has a six state operating territory including Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Oklahoma.[3]
