Everett Eissenstat is the current Deputy Director of the National Economic Council in the United States and the Deputy Assistant to the President for International Economic Affairs. [1] He succeeds Kenneth Juster.[2] Prior to his appointment, he served as Chief International Trade Counsel for the Senate Committee on Finance.[3] He has also served as assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Western Hemisphere.[4][5] Eissenstat holds a J. D. from the University of Oklahoma, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas, and a B.S. in Political Science and Spanish from Oklahoma State University.[6]
