I like your planned additions, the article definitely needs your planned structure. Although the lead has good examples, I think this content could be moved to its own section, then, as user guerrillawar(?) suggested, further analysis of the websites is going to be helpful and entertaining.
As I read the article + your planned additions, I became extremely curious about the websites and their impacts. You went into it a little bit with the shooting, but I wonder if you would be able to find some reliable sources so you could expand on this and make it very interesting.
