Jasnagar is a Town in Merta tehsil of Nagaur district in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
Jasnagar is a beautiful town.there are many schools,college,hostpitals and shops etc.jasnagar enevirmant is very pure .more then people defiend at agriculture and some people work in march and shopkeeper.there are many shope in which photo graphy,cloths,fancy store,book store,hotel,janral storeetc.
History
Jasnagar was granted to Sir Sukhdeo Prasad Kak by the Maharaja of Jodhpur and took the name Kalukeki initially, but was renamed in honor Jasnagar Maharaja Jaswant Singh II . Kak Sukhdeo Prasad also received two other jagir: Gole Sayles [the district Jalore ] and Rani Kalan district Pali , who received the names of Umaidabad and Sardargarh in honor of Jodhpur maharajas. The jagirdar Pandit Shiv Narain Kak died in 1892 and was succeeded by his son Sir Sukha Deo Prasad Pandit Kak who was co-prime minister of Jodhpur from 1900 to 1901 , Prime Minister of Mewar from 1911 to 1918 and then again years thirty (circa 1931-1935), ruler of Jodhpur (1918) who died on 7 October of 1935 and was succeeded by his son Dharam Narain Pandit Kak , Prime Minister of Mewar in 1935 (succeeding in this position in its father), jagirdar of Soniana granted by Maharana of Mewar. He ruled until 1953 when they were abolished jagir and died in 1971 .Jasnagar was a tributary state protected a jagir fief of Jodhpur with an area of 87.5 km². The capital Kalukeki or Jasnagar was near Merta Rajasthan.
