Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg is a mod for the Paradox Interactive games Darkest Hour and Hearts of Iron IV. It depicts an alternate history world, starting in 1936, where the Central Powers were victorious at the end of World War I. The original Allied Powers fall to civil war or syndicalist revolutions, and the German Empire experiences a golden age, before falling into their own Great Depression. The mod lets you play out as any country in 1936 in this timeline, including the exiled governments of the United Kingdom and Third French Republic.

The point of divergence comes when the German Empire does not resume Unrestricted Submarine Warfare, which soured relations between Germany and the United States in real life, as it led to the sinking of the Lusitania. Instead, the Empire promotes Anti-War propaganda in the U.S, which leads to the United States never joining the war.
