Nicolas Estemar, known as the Zombie Killer, was a Swedish spree killer responsible for the 2013 Varberg stabbing spree which involved the killing and injuries of an elderly lady and two men respectively.[1] Nicolas later dies after being seriously wounded in a stand-off with the police.
Victims
- Pascal Hertinge,[2] aged 18, injured, light to medium wounds.[3]
- Unreleased, aged 84, dies.[3]
- Unknown man, injured, serious wounds.[3]
Shootout
After the attack Nicolas was confronted by police and was first shot in the leg, afterwhich he got up to his knees and started crawling towards the police; still equipped with a knife. The police then shoot him a second time; and this time it's lethal.[3] The perpetrator dies later in hospital.[1]
Pathology
Defined pathology is not available but fringed to psychosis.[4]
