Evaluate an article
Complete your article evaluation below. Here are the key aspects to consider: Lead sectionA good lead section defines the topic and provides a concise overview. A reader who just wants to identify the topic can read the first sentence. A reader who wants a very brief overview of the most important things about it can read the first paragraph. A reader who wants a quick overview can read the whole lead section.
ContentA good Wikipedia article should cover all the important aspects of a topic, without putting too much weight on one part while neglecting another.
Tone and BalanceWikipedia articles should be written from a neutral point of view; if there are substantial differences of interpretation or controversies among published, reliable sources, those views should be described as fairly as possible.
Sources and ReferencesA Wikipedia article should be based on the best sources available for the topic at hand. When possible, this means academic and peer-reviewed publications or scholarly books.
Organization and writing qualityThe writing should be clear and professional, the content should be organized sensibly into sections.

Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?
(Briefly explain why you chose it, why it matters, and what your preliminary impression of it was.)
I listen to a lot of music and sometimes I do not really know exactly how I would categorize artists in genres and I often use wikipedia as a resource for musical genres and seeing how artists are categorized. I also think it's important to understand the origin of genres as they often arise from political movements or from a very specific moment in history.

I think this is a very informative article. It is clear and cited, it has lots of photos, and it has quite a few notes on the references. However, the article focuses a lot on the history of art rock as a genre, ending its examples at the 1980s. It does not talk about the genre's current state or contemporary musicians who are influenced by the genre. There is only one entry on the Talk page for this article, a Radiohead fan who is very disappointed that they are not included. On the Radiohead Wikipedia page, art rock is in fact listed as one of their genres so it would make sense for them to be included in art rock's page. No one has refuted this user's claim that Radiohead belongs in the art rock page, but the user has not expressed any intentions of adding it themselves.
