Ed Paget (born 1 April 1998) is an English theatre producer, educated at St John's College, Cambridge, where he studied Modern and Medieval Languages.

Paget was born in Leeds and attended Bradford Grammar School. At school, he achieved 10A*s at GCSE and 3A*s at A-level. He was accepted into St John's College, Cambridge to study Modern and Medieval Languages in October 2016, and graduated in July 2020. After completing his undergraduate degree, Paget began a Masters in Creative Producing at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Paget’s first role was as the character Oliver in the musical Oliver!. Whilst performing in the musical, he fell down a flight of stairs, suffering a leg injury. He was also placed the wrong way into a coffin, and suffered breathing difficulties. After Oliver!, Paget starred as Michael in Billy Elliot the Musical.

Paget’s first television role was in a sofa advert.

At university, Paget began as an actor, starring in many plays at the ADC theatre, including Terry in A Sudden Burst of Blinding Light, as Weasley in Jerusalem, as Don in Professional, as Michele in Thy Neighbour, and as The Young Covey in The Plough and the Stars. Both Professional and A Sudden Burst of Blinding Light progressed to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Paget then began to move towards the production side of theatre. He worked as a Followspot Operator for the Footlights 2017 Pantomine, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. His first role as producer was for the White Guy On The Bus. He then followed this by Assistant Producing on Rever Peut-Etre, and producing Sofa on the Mile. Paget also continued to act during this time, playing Ben in Other Prize Winner: Bromley Bedlam Bethlehem, and Davey in The Lieutenant of Irishmore.

Paget then worked as the Deputy Stage Manager for the plays The Shakespeare Scrapbook 2: Back by Unpopular Demand, Snow Orchid, and Cambridge Shorts. He worked as the Assistant Stage Manger on The Producers, as the producer for Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, and as the Assistant Producer on Breathing Corpses.

Paget followed this by working as a followspot on She Loves Me, as the Deputy Stage Manager of The Deep Blue Sea, and The Marlowe Showcase 2019, and the Associate Director of Deathtrap.

His most prominent role for the ADC came in the first term of his final year at Cambridge, where he was selected to produce the prestigious Footlights Pantomime, Red Riding Hood. Paget finished his time at Cambridge by working as the Stage Manager of CUMTS Presents: The 24 Hour Musical, as the Producer of A View from the Bridge, as the Deputy Stage Manager of Angels in America – Part 2: Perestroika, and as the Deputy Stage Manager of Guys and Dolls.

He continues, post-graduating, to be involved in Cambridge Theatre, currently working as a producer on The Jazz Section. Outside of Cambridge, Paget has shadowed the Stage Manager at Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, and Hamilton. He is currently working as a Producer for Omnibus Theatre and The Jermyn Street Theatre.

Paget’s first piece of original work, Last Active, a play exploring relationships during lockdown, is currently in pre-production.

Paget is openly gay and resides in Clapham.
