Dara Kolahi (born July 30, 1997), professionally known as Dara K (also known as Dara Paydar), is a British-Iranian record producer and managed by PRG Mgmt. Raised in Tehran, Dara began his music career since he was 3 years old by playing the traditional instrument tonbak. Since then, he expanded the instruments he learned like guitar, drum and piano and he began his passion for music production. At such early stages, he was able to play the drum automatically, without the need to have a teacher or a mentor.

After 6 months of being introduced to the Paydar Family, he became the main music producer for the Family which is known as the oldest and most well known Iranian underground rap crew.
After a short time, in May 2017, Dara started working with Behzad Leito, a notable Iranian rapper, on a song named Mese Khoete. This song hit the top records in Iranian platform Radio Javan, but also had a major hit on Youtube with close to 2 Million hits.[1] He also produced To Chi Balayi with Leito which hit Youtube close to 1 Million.
Now Dara has recently released his first album with whom he collaborated with various prominent artists. He is known as the first Iranian producer to make an album for a producer. From early stages till now, Dara has over 600 Million plays including Radio Javan and streams in all the major online platforms. He has brought a new taste of rap today to London hip hop scene, where he mixes the melodic traditional Iranian sounds mixed with contemporary rap, trap and hip hop tunes.
Dara has been producing and collaborating with well-known artists such as Erfan Paydar, Gdaal, Behzad Leito, and Imanemun. He is now currently working on projects with UK and international rappers and is aiming to expand his talent worldwide.
