Tourism

The city lies on the banks of the Mekong River. This stretch of the Upper Mekong from Kratie to Stung Treng is home to a group of rare Irrawaddy dolphins. The dolphins are the town's main tourist attraction. The Mekong Dolphin Conservation project estimates that there are only 170 dolphins left in the upper Cambodian Mekong area.[3]
