Pacific Cascade Middle School is a public secondary school in Issaquah, Washington, a suburb east of Seattle. It is one of five middle schools (grades 6–8) in the Issaquah School District.
The school opened in 2005 as a freshman-only high school called "Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus." For five years, it housed the ninth-graders bound for two high schools, rivals Issaquah and Skyline. In its final year as a one-grade campus, the enrollment at PCFC was 975.[4] In the fall of 2010, the high schools expanded their campuses to include the freshman class and Pacific Cascade became the district's fifth middle school,[5] and a feeder school for Issaquah High School.
Dana Bailey has been the principal of Pacific Cascade since its founding in 2005.
Building
The facility was built in less than a year at a cost of approximately $26 million. Ground was broken on July 2, 2004,[6] and the school opened for beginning of the 2005-06 school year, although construction was not fully completed.[7] The school was designed by Bassetti Architects of Seattle to accommodate future conversion to a middle school.[8]
