Oru Desha Vishesham is a 2019 Malayalam-language film produced by K.T Ramakrishnan, K.T Ajayan, Dr M.R Narayanan and directed by Dr Sathyanarayanan Unni, Starring Porur Unnikrishnan, Kalpathy Balakrishnan in leading roles along with Dileep Kuttipuram and Kalamandalam Aswathy.[1]
It’s a story which depicts about the art, life and culture a particular village located at Kerala, Tamilnadu Border. The film plays about the character named Veera Raghava Poduval, residing at village named ‘Pookattiyoor’. As his name indicates, (Veera – means Hero). He is a warrior in the musical instrument called ‘chenda’ (drum). His best friends are Mammu and Vasu,who are there with him at any time , any situation. But at home, our hero is nothing. He doesn’t have much intimacy with his wife and only one son. Sometimes his behavior towards them is very weird and merciless. At same time, he gives care and love for his disciple. The attitude of not compromising his art with anything leads him to get isolated and made him troubled. His self-consciousness and pride turned him blind which he couldn’t understand the value of life. At certain point, the picture changes- when the society, art, his girlfriend, colleagues all put him down and turn against him, there was only his hatred wife, friends and family with him. This perception made him understand the values of real relationships. They helped him to come up and they made him actually VEERA – our hero
