Cécile Auclert, born on May 8, 1975, in Paris 10th arrondissement, is a French actress, author, composer, and stage director.

Biography

At the age of seventeen, Cécile Auclert enrolled in the Cours Florent where she studied under François Florent, Raymond Acquaviva, and Francis Huster, while also showing interest in the "Actors Studio" method through workshops with Jack Garfein and Corinne Blue. She made her first television appearance in Paris-Saint-Lazare, a saga directed by Marco Pico, where she worked alongside Jean Bouise and Patrick Bruel, among others.

After a year of classes, she was cast at the Théâtre d'Edgar to play one of the three daughters in Daniel Colas's successful play Les Mangeuses d'hommes. Simultaneously, she appeared in various television series, TV movies, and feature films. She also performed at the Avignon Festival in Eugène Labiche's Le Roi des Frontins, "off" stage. While fully devoted to her daughter Tabata, born in 1991, she continued to appear in TV or film productions, including Les Mouettes by Jean Chapot or La Mort d’un bavard by Hervé Guérin with Jean-Pierre Kalfon.

In 1993, she landed the role of Fanny in Les Filles d'à côté, a character that brought her fame but whom she left after the 133rd episode (although she later returned for 3 episodes). Regarding her departure, the actress feared that the label of AB Productions would become a handicap for her career. Indeed, it turned out to be the case. She also lamented the lack of character development (at the time, she had tried to organize meetings between real scriptwriters and actors to discuss character development, but to no avail).

She then moved behind the cameras to focus on writing and directing when she worked on Préambule, the first one-man show by Jean-Luc Borras. In 1998, she returned to the stage for Trois femmes de trop by Bruno Chapelle, alongside Raphaëlle Cambray who would later direct her in La Pluie boulevard Saint-Germain.

In 1999, she enjoyed performing with the chansonniers at the Théâtre des Deux Ânes before leaving Paris in 2000. In 2001, she made a media comeback by joining the cast of TF1's new series, Père et Maire. In this dramatic comedy, she supported the leading actors Christian Rauth and Daniel Rialet, who were also the creators of the show.

In 2006, as the production of the series slowed down, the actress joined the team of Plus belle la vie to portray Commissioner Véra Madigan. At the same time, she indulged in writing a musical show with piano and cello, Un hiver de cochon, depicting the early loves of Frédéric Chopin and George Sand, a show she premiered in 2008. The following year, Père et Maire concluded after 24 episodes. Residing in Marseille, she taught drama classes for 6th and 5th grades in various middle schools. In 2014, she created La Pluie boulevard Saint-Germain, a musical trifle for which she also co-wrote the music with pianist Agathe Di Piro. After various performances, they were joined in 2017 by trumpeter Christophe Leloil to create the sequel to La Pluie boulevard Saint-Germain, titled Smog in London, at the Théâtre du Tétard in Marseille.

Private life

She is divorced from Christian Rauth and is the mother of a daughter from her first marriage.
