Lester H. Smith is an extremely successful oilman, proud author, owner of , and two-time cancer survivor. The very first time Lester's father took him to an oil field, on his seventh birthday, he knew that he was meant to be a wildcatter, or someone who drills exploration wells. Since then, Lester started Smith Interests. Smith Interests is a successful wildcat business located and operated in Houston, TX with most of the oil fields in Lubbock, TX. Lester shares his most important memories, valuable lessons he's learned throughout his seventy-four years of life, and his battle and defeat of prostate and badder cancer in his autobiography, You Gotta Dance Like No One's Watching - by Lester Smith and Trish Morille. This past summer, Lester received a double lung transplant in St. Luke's Hospital due to cystic fibrosis, the build up of mucus in the lungs, and rested and recuperated in the hospital for three and a half months after his surgery. Lester's upbringing, all around generosity, and the many bumps in the road he has faced has led him to donate life saving amounts to breast and prostate cancer centers, hospitals in desperate need of repairs, and to friends, colleagues, and complete strangers.
